INFORMATION FOR FIRST RESPONDERS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT

As you well know, crime/trauma scenes and controlled substances can present some of the most dangerous conditions you may face, but who do you call to help a resident or business owner clean up the mess left behind.

Trust a referral resource that is second to none in the Crime and Trauma clean up industry.  Welcome to the American Bio Recovery Association.   We are the only non-profit international third party certifying body for companies and technicians in the crime scene cleanup industry.   We have eliminated the risk of providing a direct referral to a single company.  With the provided link below, people can find multiple ABRA member companies that will be willing to provide this niche service.

HIRE AN AMERICAN BIO RECOVERY ASSOCIATION MEMBER COMPANY

ABRA’s objective is “to achieve and maintain the highest levels of competence among members in the performance of their profession. To teach, instill and require the highest technical, ethical and educational standards.” ABRA certified firms are required to maintain proper insurance, OSHA compliance, bloodborne pathogen training records, respirator fit testing, proper handling of biohazardous waste and other laws or requirements in order to maintain good standing with the American Bio-Recovery Association aka ABRA.

ABRA's Member companies have the training and knowledge to handle gruesome events such as suicides, shootings, mass-casualties, stabbings, fecal contamination, spoilage, and other emergencies.  ABRA Member companies have also been on the front lines for the decontamination of Anthrax, Norovirus, C. Diff (clostridium difficile), MRSA (methicillin resistant Staph), superbugs, listeria, and many other types of dangerous bacteria and viruses.  We can also help decontaminated facilities impacted by controlled substances.

Disclaimer:  Services may not be available in all search areas.  The American Bio Recovery Association members and technicians have demonstrated the proper knowledge and training to earn their certification.  ABRA technicians are required to sign an annual affidavit outlining their OSHA or Equivalent required training by law.  They are also required by affidavit to stay up to date with Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
