The American Bio Recovery Association hosts the 21st annual conference in Atlantic City, NJ

Atlantic City, NJ - What a fantastic conference and educational platform.  Thanks to a group of fantastic volunteers, this conference keeps growing every year.  Our theme this year was Advancing Industry Dedicated to Education (AIDE) with a special focus on Fentanyl and carfentanil which can be lethal with a small exposure.

The variables that Bio Recovery contractors and first responders must deal with on a day in and day out basis, are never ending.  Being a Bio Recovery contractor can be one of the most difficult jobs on the planet and knowledge is everything when dealing with crime and trauma mitigation (bloodborne and body fluids)outbreak responsezoonotic diseasesfoodborne diseases, public health threats and clandestine drug labs.     From the safety of our personnel to dealing with those who have lost everything, having the experience and sharing it with us goes a long way to making the industry stronger.  Even though the bad weather, flight delays, and most of the eastern seaboard underwater, people still came from near and far.  Special recognition to Pedro Badoni, and Peter Guerin who came from Europe and Australia.

Throwing what equates to a three day wedding is a difficult task.  The conference committee did a fabulous job. Special thanks to Martie Law, Heidi Lamkin, Cheryl Berg and Sasha Bolderoff.  Thank you to Patrick and Barbara Jones for hosting a fantastic awards dinner. We also have to thank all of our sponsors and vendors and associate members, Without them, we could not have pulled this off.  If you are in the Bio Recovery, Crime and Trauma mitigation industry please visit our buyers guide and support those who support our industry.  Be sure to tell them ABRA sent you!

May all of you stay safe and if you are not an ABRA Active Member or an Associate Member, please consider ABRA today.  Lets grow a stronger Bio Recovery Industry.

See you in Fort Worth Texas in 2019.
