INFORMATION FOR FIRST RESPONDERS AND LAW ENFORCEMENT
As you well know, crime/trauma scenes and controlled substances can present some of the most dangerous conditions you may face, but who do you call to help a resident or business owner clean up the mess left behind.
Trust a referral resource that is second to none in the Crime and Trauma clean up industry. Welcome to the American Bio Recovery Association. We are the only non-profit international third party certifying body dedicated to the education and certification of companies and technicians in the crime scene cleanup industry. By referring ABRA to a family in need, we have eliminated the risk of providing a direct referral to a single company. With the provided link below, people in need of a cleanup can find multiple ABRA member companies that will be willing to provide this niche service.
ABRA’s objective is “to achieve and maintain the highest levels of competence among members in the performance of their profession. To teach, instill and require the highest technical, ethical and educational standards.” ABRA certified firms are required to maintain proper insurance, OSHA compliance, bloodborne pathogen training records, respirator fit testing, proper handling of biohazardous waste and other laws or requirements in order to maintain good standing with the American Bio Recovery Association aka ABRA.
